CONGRATS EVE

Congrats are in order for Eve. She’s a married woman now.

The 35-year-old rapper/actress tied the knot to her man, Gumball 3000 founder Max Cooper, in a picturesque beach wedding this afternoon that was officiated by none other than Bun B.
According to reports, the pair exchanged their vows in front of family and friends Saturday night at Blue Marlin beach club at Cala Jondal Beach in Ibiza, Spain. Eve looked stunning as she walked down the aisle in an intricate lace halter wedding dress by Alice Temperley and she couldn’t have been any happier.

While Ibiza is most certainly a beautiful location to get hitched, the couple actually chose the exotic destination for a totally different reason. Max revealed:We met on the 2010 Gumball 3000 rally so it only seemed right to have the wedding at the finish of this years rally in Ibiza, which was the final stop on this years event. We couldn’t be happier to celebrate such a special day with all our family and friends.

The couple have already released a joint statement, expressing their joy while thanking well wishers:
We are beyond happy to celebrate our marriage with all of our friends and family and start our journey in our new life together. It’s been such an amazing experience and we are happier than we ever thought we could be. Thanks for the well wishes.
The 41-year-old father of three popped the big question Christmas Day after dating Eve for three years.

Verse of the Day

In God, whose word I praise, in God I trust; I will not be afraid. What can mortal man do to me?
Psalm 56:4

My Prayer...

O Great and Eternal God, thank you that your are more stable than the ground on which I stand, more enduring than the mountain peaks I admire, and more constant than the waves upon the oceans that I love. I trust my life and my future and soul with you. I want to please you in the way I live. I want my life to be marked by consistent faithfulness to you. In the name of Jesus I ask this prayer. Amen.

Still I Rise’ by Maya Angelou

You may write me down in history
With your bitter, twisted lies,
You may trod me in the very dirt
But still, like dust, I’ll rise.
Does my sassiness upset you?
Why are you beset with gloom?
‘Cause I walk like I’ve got oil wells
Pumping in my living room.
Just like moons and like suns,
With the certainty of tides,
Just like hopes springing high,
Still I’ll rise.
Did you want to see me broken?
Bowed head and lowered eyes?
Shoulders falling down like teardrops.
Weakened by my soulful cries.
Does my haughtiness offend you?
Don’t you take it awful hard
‘Cause I laugh like I’ve got gold mines
Diggin’ in my own back yard.
You may shoot me with your words,
You may cut me with your eyes,
You may kill me with your hatefulness,
But still, like air, I’ll rise.
Does my sexiness upset you?
Does it come as a surprise
That I dance like I’ve got diamonds
At the meeting of my thighs?
Out of the huts of history’s shame
I rise
Up from a past that’s rooted in pain
I rise
I’m a black ocean, leaping and wide,
Welling and swelling I bear in the tide.
Leaving behind nights of terror and fear
I rise
Into a daybreak that’s wondrously clear
I rise
Bringing the gifts that my ancestors gave,
I am the dream and the hope of the slave.
I rise
I rise
I rise.

Verse of the Day

The Lord your God is with you, he is mighty to save. He will take great delight in you, he will quiet you with his love, he will rejoice over you with singing.
