An Australian billionaire, Clive Palmer, has ordered the manufacture of ship “Titanic” the new version. This project, according to him, for the sake of remembering the tragedy sinking of a luxury cruise ships  for a hundred years ago.
According to BBC news station, 30 April 2012, Palmer pointed shipbuilding companies from China, CSC Jinling Shipyard, to make this ambitious project. Design and luxury ship will be similar to the Titanic, but equipped with navigation and communication technology is very sophisticated.
“This ship will be as grand as the original Titanic. But, of course also be mounted navigation technology and the latest security systems in the 21st century,” said Palmer, who is known as mining business tycoon. According to the Canberra Times, 58-year-old tycoon is on the list of “Richest People in 2012 as Australia.”
For Palmer, it will be a Titanic version of the 21st century. The new cruise ship set sail targeted end of 2016, and will sail with the inaugural route London – New York.
The announcement comes two weeks after the 100th anniversary of the sinking of the Titanic. The British ship was carrying 2223 passengers and crew when anchored from Southampton to New York City, USA, on 10 April 1912. Five days later, the ship struck an iceberg while in the north Atlantic Ocean that sank.
A total of 1514 people died in the crash. Sinking of the Titanic to be one event that shook the world in the 20th century, thus becoming the inspiration for Hollywood to make succes romance movies ever.
However, Palmer stated that the new Titanic will not repeat the same fate. “Of course not designed to sink,” said Palmer. “However, if there are superstitious, you never what will happen,” he continued.
